Located in downtown Abilene, Frontier Texas will take you back in time to relive the Old West. Frontier Texas brings the past back to life with state-of-the-art technology & lets visitors meet people who lived out their lives on the Texas frontier. The museum has 9 exhibits each highlighting different parts of Texas history, such as the Comanche Empire and the Buffalo Hide Trade.

Located across from the Expo Center of Taylor County, this zoo is a must see! The Zoo has been welcoming over 250,000 people each year since their opening in 1919. There are over 25 exhibits that will bring wildlife to you! One of their most popular exhibits is the Giraffe Safari where you can get up close and personal to feed a giraffe fresh lettuce!

Adopt an animal from the Abilene Zoo for as little as $50.
